Caption Writting Practice

1st sentence

  • There's only 2 sentences in a quality caption
  • Caption answers Who, What, When, Where, Why and How
  • It needs to be in present tense as in the action in the photo is still happening

2nd sentence 
  • Past tense
  • should have info that you cannot get by looking at the photo 
  • If there are 3 people or less, must identify who they are 
Ex: Courtney is having fun at the football game with her friends on a friday night. She was wearing shorts with a black jacket when the weather was pretty cold.

Ex: Brandon Watson looks intensely trying to throw the ball into the basket against team Bowie. He scored a 3 points at the last minute which lead to their victory.

Aspects of photograph:
This picture is cropped to where only the main subject is visible. The background is simple because there's nothing that's blocking the view of the subject.

Ex: An amateur artist concentrates intensely on his tremendous piece of art with little detail by detail.

Ex: A baby owl is sitting in the palm of an anonymous person's hand in science class. The anonymous person was trying to examine the owl

This picture consists of merger because the lady in the back is growing out of the owl. There is also leading line. The little leaf is leading toward the owl.
